The world's biggest clam species. These giant clams were the largest ever to exist. They became extinct during the later Pleistocene period around 180.000 years ago due to a natural disaster that saw sea levels increase worldwide by 20 meters within a week.
Tridacna Gigantea can only be found around the Indian Ocean along East Africa.
Tanzania, Zanzibar Island, Pemba Island and the Kenyan coast is where they are found.
These clamshells make the perfect luxury washbasins, every piece unique, one of a kind.
